Man Proposes to Girlfriend on Reddit Advice Animals Thread
It's the geeky alternative to proposing to your beloved on the Jumbotron in front of 40,000 braying fans at the ballpark—asking her to marry you on Reddit.
A Reddit user going by SirTechnocracy did just that on Monday, penning the simple message: "This is a marriage proposal (she will recognize my username): I can't believe the day is finally here ..."
It don't mean an Ask Me Anything if you ain't got that ring.
Amusingly enough, SirTechnocracy bent his virtual knee on the Advice Animals subreddit, prompting a slew of friendly but snarky responses.
"If she posts an awkward penguin with just the word 'No,' this will be the greatest day of my life. (I mean, I'm rooting for you, don't get me wrong. Love is great. But oh man would that make my day)," one commenter wrote.
Another Redditor suggested "an annoyed Picard meme" reading "WHY THE F*** WOULD YOU PROPOSE TO ME ON REDDIT?", while a third simply offered, "I now pronounce you neckbeard and wife."
