Almost three-quarters of U.S. adults using the Internet frequent social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, according to a new report from Pew Internet.
Some 72 percent of online adults were using social networking sites as of May—a fairly significant increase since late 2012, when Pew found that 67 percent of Internet users over the age of 18 were frequenting such services.
Social networking's growth among adults has risen dramatically in the past eight years, the research firm added.
